Virtual Reality: Bunce island 1805

The first of five short animations, Animation 1: Castle Flyover begins over the Sierra Leone River and moves toward the northern portion of Bunce Island, flying over an anchored slave ship, jetty and path and up to the slave castle. On the right you can see the two kilns, several pavilions and the well. The entire slave castle comes into view, first the entry gate-tower and merchant's dormitory and then Bunce Island House dominates the perspective with the slave yards behind it. Then, as quickly as the the slave castle appears, it vanishes from view and the first animation is over. Click to play, then select the bottom right link to advance to the second animation.
